Mydin is a household name in Malaysia, but is little known to Singaporeans as Singaporeans will usually visit the more popular malls like Paradigm Mall, KSL Mall, IKEA and Aeon Mall. Mydin is a place where many Malaysians will visit to get grocery supplies, and it is the equivalent of NTUC Fairprice in Singapore.
Mydin has just opened its first hypermart in Johor Bahru, in Taman Mutiara Rini, Skudai. This is the biggest among the six branches in Johor, and is also the 27th hypermart in the whole of Malaysia. Mydin is popular among the locals, because the grocery items are really affordable to the locals. Mydin’s tagline is:
“Why Pay More? Buy at Wholesale Prices!”
That is why Malaysians loved Mydin, just like Singaporeans loved NTUC Fairprice.
The latest Mydin Hypermart in Mutiara Rini adds glamour to this booming town. There is already a huge Tesco Hypermart, which is located opposite to Mydin Hypermart. This is a huge 4 storey building, and has ample parking lots for those who drive here. Besides buying grocery supplies, there are also many retail shops selling most things that you would need in a typical shopping trip, such as beauty, heath care, electronics, food, clothing, gifts, etc.
There are other Mydin malls in Johor Bahru, where it may be more convenient for you to get your grocery supplies. Below are a few that are nearer to both the Tuas and Woodlands check points. Hope you will find good deals here.
